DESCRIPTION: Engineer – Electrical and Mechanical
This position is located in Wallingford, CT.
Responsibilities include designing and developing software and hardware for harsh environments; troubleshooting, debugging, and recommending changes for design improvements; designing and manufacturing test systems for evaluating APS hardware; assist in the creation of working drawings of new boards and packaging; performing calculations, estimations, and laboratory tests required to verify the soundness and suitability of the design; setting up bench and field testing of hardware and software and evaluate test results; and developing customer, project, and development proposals and making formal presentations. Occasional travel for design reviews, customer support and troubleshooting required.
Engineering degree with 0-5 years experience and knowledge of engineering fundamentals required. Ability to communicate effectively within and outside of APS Technology and proficiency with the use of PCs, Oscilloscopes and circuit design software a must (for EE's).
