DESCRIPTION: Software Engineer
This position is located in Wallingford, CT.
Develop engineering software for data acquisition and control systems used in harsh environments. Participate in the conceptualization and planning of new equipment designs; work along side engineers and technicians in defining software and hardware needs for new designs; troubleshoot and enhance existing software programs for improved operation and feature enhancement; perform software design, code, and test on target hardware; oversee bench, prototype, and field testing of the equipment and evaluate test results, ensure that software specifications and procedures are complete, current, and appropriate for their purpose, and are released to other departments in a timely and orderly manner; conduct or participate in design reviews.
Bachelor of Computer Science, or Bachelor of Science in engineering, or equivalent practical industrial experience working on complex software development programs. Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, python, LabView, LabWindows, database development, and/or XML a plus.
