DEREK BARNES, APS TECHNOLOGY'S VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING & SALES, DIES IN CAR ACCIDENT

APS Technology, Inc. announces, with deep regret, the death of its Vice President of Marketing & Sales, Derek J. Barnes. Mr. Barnes was killed in a single car accident while traveling alone in Yellowstone National Park on June 24, 2005. Born in Singapore, he grew up in Scotland and graduated from University of Aberdeen. After having spent most of his career with Teleco Oilfield Services/Baker Hughes, and operating an independent MWD company, he joined APS Technology in 2002. He lived in the Houston area for the past 14 years with his wife and two daughters, who survive him.
