APS Technology Breaks Ground on New Addition
New Space at Wallingford Headquarters Will Expand Company's Production Machining, Welding and Lab Testing Capabilities
Wallingford, CT and Houston, TX – September 18, 2008 – APS Technology, Inc., a leading provider of innovative technologies for drilling performance, today announced that they have broken ground on a new 10,000 square foot addition to their Wallingford, CT facility.
The addition, which is expected to be completed February, 2009, will house new, specialized machines for production center-boring, deep-hole "gun" drilling, and robotic welding.
"With the addition of this equipment, APS Technology will be one of only a few companies in the world with all of these capabilities under one roof" said Chris Abbamonte, VP of Operations. "This will enable us to to take our downhole products from raw material to finished part, quickly and with the highest level of quality."
With the new space, APS also adds a new 12-foot, 8" dia. pressure test vessel and other laboratory facilities to support current and future internal and customer development projects.
