APS Technology offers a durable Turbine Alternator to take the place of expensive, short-lived disposable batteries in both measurement-while-drilling (MWD) and logging-while drilling (LWD) applications. Developed with the support of Sandia Laboratories, the APS High-temperature Turbine Alternator reliably outputs 150 W of power at temperatures of up to 200°C. The entire unit measures 60" in length, with a housing diameter of 2.06" and a turbine housing diameter of 3.13".
