The Surface Drilling Mechanics (SDM) is a wireless instrumented top drive sub that houses all of the essential sensors used for monitoring drilling, drilling optimization, rig automation and rig condition monitoring. The SDM is an instrumented sub which can be mounted just below, or integrated with the top-drive.
As part of this development effort APS is actively seeking industry partners to participate in this exciting development.
The APS Technology Manufacturing Scholarship Program is currently accepting applications. A $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior that will pursue a manufacturing-related trade at a two-year technical or trade school. The award will be given to a student who shows high initiative and aptitude, and who has good academics.
The recipient of this award will also be awarded a summer internship at APS Technology the following summer.
