The new location in Oktyabrsky will provide repair and maintenance for APS MWD and drilling products, as well as sales support for new and existing Russia and CIS customers.

The Surface Drilling Mechanics (SDM) is a wireless instrumented top drive sub that houses all of the essential sensors used for monitoring drilling, drilling optimization, rig automation and rig condition monitoring. The SDM is an instrumented sub which can be mounted just below, or integrated with the top-drive.
As part of this development effort APS is actively seeking industry partners to participate in this exciting development.
The APS Technology Manufacturing Scholarship Program is currently accepting applications. A $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior that will pursue a manufacturing-related trade at a two-year technical or trade school. The award will be given to a student who shows high initiative and aptitude, and who has good academics.
The recipient of this award will also be awarded a summer internship at APS Technology the following summer.

Wallingford, CT, USA – September 1, 2015 – APS Technology's SureShot™ EM MWD System has successfully transmitted from a depth of 10,104 feet (3,080 m) total vertical depth (TVD) in a Canadian well in oil-based mud (OBM). This is the deepest transmission to date for the APS EM system, marking an impressive achievement for EM tools in general.
