Mr. Turner founded APS Technology in 1993. Prior to founding APS, Mr. Turner was Director of Engineering for a pioneering Measurement-While-Drilling company, Teleco Oilfield Services, coordinating worldwide engineering teams on numerous drilling and measurement products
Prior to Teleco, Mr. Turner gained considerable experience in the design of gas turbines and other turbomachinery as an Engineer with Westinghouse and Ingersoll Rand.
Mr. Turner holds numerous patents in a variety of areas, including mud pulse telemetry, passive and active vibration control, well steering, thermoelectric cooling, hydraulic pump and motor design, harsh environment hydraulic and electrical interconnects, and metal fabrication.
Mr. Turner holds a BSME from Lafayette College, an MSME from Villanova University and an MBA from the University of New Haven.
Mr. Xu joined APS in 2009 to help establish Guanghan APS Technology, Ltd. and is responsible for sales and overall management of APS's China region.
Mr. Xu started his career in the oilfield services sector over 20 years ago with Petrotech Services Ltd. CNOOC and has worked with Schlumberger Canada, Weatherford McAllister Products, Chengdu Bright Bit Ltd., WuXi Bright Wanbang, and Infomax Service Corp. His experience includes directional drilling, and completion engineering and operations, sales management and marketing management.
Mr. Xu is a graduate of China's Southwest Petroleum Institute and holds both a BS and MS in Petroleum Engineering.
Ron has over 35 years of oilfield experience primarily focused on development and commercialization of LWD formation evaluation services and applications. Prior to joining APS in 2010 Ron was VP of Operations for Navigate Energy Services and, previous to that, the Global Petrophysics Manager for Halliburton - Sperry Drilling Services.
Ron began his career as a Field Engineer for Anadrill Schlumberger. Later Ron held Field Engineer, Field Test Engineer and Project Petrophysicist positions at Teleco Oilfield Services (later Baker Hughes INTEQ). After moving from INTEQ to Halliburton Ron became the Product Champion for LWD Acoustics and later the Asia Pacific Regional Petrophysics Manager.
Ron has a BS degree in Geology from Northern Illinois University, holds two LWD related US patents and has authored or co-authored numerous LWD related papers and publications. Ron is a member of the SPE and SPWLA.
